What does OSHA require on a job site?
OSHA sets the toilet count. Under 1926.51(c)(1), a construction site needs one toilet for 20 workers or fewer, then one seat and one urinal per 40 workers as crews grow past 20. Where crews apply paints, coatings, herbicides or insecticides, 1926.51(f)(1) requires washing facilities, which is why we stock handwashing stations and know the handwashing requirements. Washing setups need soap and towels under 29 CFR 1910.141(d)(2); sanitizer alone does not meet it, though a sanitizer station is a fine add-on. Do I need a permit in Charlotte?
